When she is not at work, she enjoy listening to non-fiction educational audio books, enjoying a movie with her husband, playing with her two cats, or going to Aikido classes. Aikido is a martial art that means “The way in harmony with the spirit.” She practices Nihon Goshin Aikido which is the Japanese Self-Defense Aikido. In this marital art, students learn to move with their opponent and defeat their opponent while remaining calm and in control. “As anyone who practices martial arts knows, its lessons permeate and enrich our lives in ways we didn’t know were possible.”
